A Tunisian fighter has been shot dead after he murdered seven of his associates at a military sle

Ten others were injured, one genuinely, in the assault at a banner raising function at the Bouchoucha sleeping enclosure.

The man had family and mental issues and was "prohibited from conveying arms", said service representative Belhassen Oueslati.

He portrayed the occurrence as a "separated demonstration, not a terrorist demonstration".

Mr Ouselati said the fighter assaulted one man with a blade before taking the casualty's weapon and "shooting at his companions".
